- You have Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, technology, and engineering
- You have 8+ years of overall business experience with 5+ years of application architecture design and project management experience on a managerial capacity
- You have strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- You have good experience in digital product management with knowledge in cross-platform integration
- You have experience supporting and guiding platform design and technical concepts
- You have flexibility to travel if required
- You are a strong fit with the IKEA Culture and Values
- You have retail or IT/Digital consultancy background
- You have regional project & teams exposure in APAC
- You are able to communicate in English (Cantonese, Mandarin, Bahasa is a plus)
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Architecting, designing, and leading technical discussions across the regions and owning the end-to-end architecture solution blueprints
- Interfacing with market teams and partners to understand the business requirements and translate them into technical solution blueprints with the appropriate technology selection and architectural style
- Executing quick technical feasibility and proof of concepts of emerging technologies
- Identify and quantify the non-functional requirements like performance, security, and integration
- Evaluate options of migration or re-architecting the existing tech stack and applications to ensure the overall software quality
- Analyze/design applications and assessing impacts holistically by ensuring cross-platform compatibility and optimization
- Document architectures and maintain them in a self-explanatory format for knowledge sharing in the engineering and the architect community
- Support the formulation and execution agenda, from discovering the relevant ecosystem to work with, to prototyping, establishing pioneering engagements and packaging the results for scaling to the DFI IKEA markets
- Analyse, articulate, and engage as a thought leader to advise on key technology trends & their potential business impact
- Overall leadership responsibility for building prototypes – bringing concepts to initial implementations – including design and coding to testing
